Raminder graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand and went on to specialise in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery where he trained in NZ and Melbourne. He currently holds positions as a consultant specialist in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Austin Hospital, Monash Health and Eastern Health in Melbourne and is involved in training and supervising trainee plastic surgeons.

Raminder was a recipient of the Australian and NZ Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS/NZAPS) Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical Award and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Foundation for Surgery Research Scholarship. He completed a Microsurgery Research Fellowship in 2010 at The Bernard O’Brien Institute of Microsurgery and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

is main areas of interest is in reconstructive surgery and microsurgery, especially in the field of head and neck surgery and hand surgery and a major part of his practice involves reconstructive work with surgeons and specialists from other specialties such as ENT, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Dermatology to treat complex problems. Raminder’s passion is to restore form and function by performing plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, hand and body and he is actively involved in volunteer plastic surgery through Interplast.

He founded Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Melbourne (PRSM), a private practice that specialises in various aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, hand surgery as well as cosmetic surgery and non-surgical rejuvenation in collaboration with the other plastic surgeons listed in the practice. At PRSM we aim to offer the best possible care in treating various problems with surgeons in the practice who have subspecialty interest in different areas of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
